Anyone who voted should have received a call letting you know that Maggie's classes have been scheduled for May 1 & 2. We tallied all your votes and there were 2 clear winners. For those of you who may have voted for other favorites, I'm sorry that we couldn't offer each of them. We looked at the possibility of a 3rd day, but it just wasn't feasible. Hopefully, with a good response to Maggie's visit this time, she will be amenable to coming again in 2010 and teaching some of your other favorites.
In an effort to keep the costs affordable to you, Lisa has kept her class fees at a low $75 each for each full day (10-5) class.
Fri, May 1 - 10:00-5:00 (w/ lunch break)
Maggie Writes: While living in Italy, I fell in love with the onion dome style of church steeples found on many of the churches. This style of dome dates back to Byzantine times and is most famous in Russia and Eastern Europe. There is a church in Italy named after Saint Sofia who was born in Milan and is the patron saint of many cities throughout the world. These earrings and pendant were inspired by the onion dome steeples.
Using a variation of peyote, we will build our own onion domes with seed beads. The domes do not cover any core piece and stand alone. You will learn to make different sizes and how to use the components in your designs.
One Day Workshop.Participant must know peyote stitch and be familiar with basic right angle weave.
